ESP listed on the Main Market (Premium Listing) of the London Stock Exchange in June 2014
2015
Two further equity raises carried out, above NAV, resulting in gross proceeds (including the IPO) of £235m
2016
'Hello Student' brand launched, bringing together marketing, management and maintenance under one, branded platform
2017
Raised £110m and deployed £64.5m on the acquisition of four operating assets, one forward funded project, and one development site, growing the operating portfolio by 12 buildings
2018
Tim Attlee, who was previously the CIO, took over the role of CEO, taking over from Paul Hadaway, one of the founders of the business
2019
Facilities management for all assets as well as HR were brought in-house and the IT platform was rationalised from two platforms to one
2020
Duncan Garrood was appointed as CEO in June 2020 with an optimisation strategy launched to drive maximum portfolio performance to strengthen the 'Hello Student' brand
2021
ESP announced its target to become net zero within its own operations by 2033, as well as aligning with TCFD (Taskforce on climate-related financial disclosure)
2022
First postgraduate exclusive product successfully launched in Edinburgh, achieving full occupancy within the first year of operations, and 100% of beds are sold for AY 2023/24
2023
ESP added to the FTSE 250 index in June 2023. LfL rental growth of >10% for AY 2023/24, and effectively full occupancy achieved earlier than ever before
